“We are immensely grateful to our team, neighbors and first responders for their aid during the fire.  It’s with deep gratitude that we are making a donation in excess of $100,000 from our 2020 sauvignon blanc to the Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund.”

St. Supéry Supports the Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund

2020 brought the Covid pandemic and devastating fires that affected every member of the Napa Valley community. Through these disasters, we have seen the resilience, generosity and dedication of our community.

With help from our team, neighbors with water trucks and bulldozers and first responders, we were able to halt the LNU Complex fire on our property, keeping it from spreading further into the surrounding community. Fortunately, two-thirds of the 1531+ acre ranch is undeveloped and through teamwork and fast action, fewer than two of the 500+ planted acres came into direct contact with the fire. “I have lived in Napa Valley for over 30 years and I never cease to be inspired by the unity and kindness of our community.” Emma Swain, St. Supéry’s CEO.

As an estate vineyard with stringent quality standards, we made the hard decision to not harvest the 2020 red grapes, sémillon or moscato from our Dollarhide Estate Vineyard due to its proximity to the LNU Lightning Complex fire. We were able to harvest some sauvignon blanc grapes before the fires and we want its proceeds to positively support the community who came to our aid to make this wine possible. With each bottle sold of the 2020 St. Supéry Napa Valley Estate Sauvignon Blanc, $5 will be donated directly to the Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund, committing to a contribution of more than $100,000. We recognize the need to replenish the fund as it continues offering community support. The opening donation of $10 million to the fund was made by the Napa Valley Vintners in 2014 and has provided continued support during the tragedies that have impacted our community in recent years. The Fund provides immediate response grants for additional safety net services, like legal and housing assistance, as well as the launch of cash assistance available to homeowners and renters affected by the fires.

We are grateful to our neighbors who came to our aid, to the entire Napa Valley community and to you for supporting our winery through your purchase of this important wine – the only 2020 St. Supéry wine that we were able to produce.
