Napa’s Favorite Sauvignon Blanc: Three Things You Should Know

NAPA’S FAVORITE SAUVIGNON BLANC:
THREE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery planted its first parcel of sauvignon blanc at the winery’s Napa Valley Dollarhide Ranch in 1985, and has been a champion of this racy grape ever since. Today, St. Supéry proudly produces  three 100% estate sauvignon blanc wines from its Napa Green certified vineyards. Here are three things you should know about St. Supéry’s sauvignon blanc:

ST. SUPÉRY HAS ITS OWN FIELD SELECTION OF CLONE 1 SAUVIGNON BLANC.

Originating at Château d’Yquem in Bordeaux, Clone 1 was brought to California’s Livermore Valley in 1884 and eventually made its way to the Napa Valley. To create St. Supéry’s own field selection of Clone 1, winemaker Michael Scholz walked the vineyard rows to single out and propagate healthy vines that produce exceptional fruit. He’s been repeating this meticulous process for the last 20 years, and the result is a unique field selection that provides tremendous intensity and purity of fruit, beautiful aromatics, and zesty citrus notes on the palate.  Learn More

ST. SUPÉRY’S WINEMAKER SPECIALIZES IN SAUVIGNON BLANC.

A sixth-generation winemaker from Australia’s Barossa Valley, Michael Scholz was inspired to pursue winemaking by his grapegowing father (also called a vigneron in the Barossa) and his friends, including legendary Australian winemaker Peter Lehmann. When he arrived at St. Supéry in 1996, Michael played a key role in replanting many of the vineyard blocks to their ideal grape varieties, focusing on the classics of Bordeaux. Thanks to his vision and winemaking skill, St. Supéry’s Sauvignon Blanc has become a California benchmark.  Learn More

100% of ST. SUPÉRY SAUVIGNON BLANC IS CERTIFIED NAPA GREEN LAND AND WINERY AS WELL AS 100% ESTATE GROWN PRODUCED AND BOTTLED.
