Virtual Tasting Experience

Great wine, great food and great conversation are a recipe for a memorable gathering. In this current 6-week series, St. Supéry offers tips for how to enjoy entertaining family and friends in your home. St. Supéry Estate Chef Tod Kawachi will offer easy appetizers and dishes that pair beautifully with wine and are meant to be shared. And special guests will offer entertaining expertise and time-saving tips so that you can spend more time with your guests while delivering an occasion they’ll remember for years.

Caviar may seem decadent and perhaps intimidating, but for as little as $40 you can incorporate domestically-farmed Tsar Nicoulai caviar into a variety of dishes; we’ll have an expert share a few ideas on how to use it to easily elevate your evening. Think you don’t have the creativity or budget it takes to make your holiday decor Pinterest-worthy? Local designer Danielle Gibson Events will show us how to set the perfect Thanksgiving table. Learn from Jessica Lawrenz how to make a decadent cheese platter that is almost too pretty to eat. The dynamic duo behind Busy Bee will share #hostfulhacks to create an inviting tablescape and how to make the meal enticing for guests of all ages. Lastly, we’ll head into Thanksgiving week with Jenna Lam Events who will share how to entertain in small places and Camper Cocktails who will share essential items for every home bar and inspire us to create signature cocktails for parties of any size.

2016 Dollarhide Estate Vineyard Malbec - $50 (SRP)

This Malbec presents with deep black, purple and red hues. Aromas of dark plum, boysenberry and blueberry jam combine with vanilla from the toasted oak. Flavors of black plum, black currant, blueberry and espresso intermingle with a toasted vanillin oak to complete the profile. This is a bright and opulent wine with an excellent texture and a gentle finish.

2018 Napa Valley Estate Sauvignon Blanc - $22 (SRP)

This radiant Sauvignon Blanc presents with pale straw yellow with hints of green hues. Pristine estate fruit is showcased on the nose, where this wine gives generously of pink grapefruit and lime citrus aromas with a subtle thread of green guava and fennel. In the cellar, minimal intervention yields a vivid expression of freshness on the palate with flavors of grapefruit and lime zest zinging through the finish to create a wine of agility, brightness and devotion to its essence.

2015 Dollarhide Elevation - $85 (SRP)

This Cabernet Sauvignon presents with deep dark shades of reds and purples. Aromas of black currant and black plum leap from the glass and are joined by notes of anise, white pepper and cocoa. Flavors of black plum and cassis follow with toasted oak, a subtle hint of vanillin and espresso. This wine has brooding flavors, tremendous length, a fine texture and incredible structure.

2019 Napa Valley Estate Rosé - $20 (SRP)

This is a bright and refreshing Rosé, with aromas of strawberry and watermelon that are complemented by hibiscus. Pomegranate and cranberry flavors continue on the palate and are framed by nuances of raspberry. This is a balanced wine with a vibrant finish and good mouthfeel.

2015 Napa Valley Estate Élu - $85 (SRP)

This wine presents with deep shades of reds and purples. Aromas of dark fruit, blackberry and black plum combine with elements of espresso, vanillin and molasses, as well as notes of smoky oak and dusty terroir. Flavors of dark plum and cassis follow with anise and toasted barrel attributes. This red blend offers a finely textured silky structure with density and a graceful appeal.

2018 Napa Valley Estate Virtú - $30 (SRP)

Elegant shades of pale yellow are displayed in this blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Aromas of lemon grass, lime and a hint of pear are framed by a fantastic French oak quality of toasted oak. Flavors of green lime, lemon grass and kiwi fruit are met with a creamy texture from the sur-lie maturation. The palate is complete with a subtle thread of toasted oak adding complexity to this bright and vibrant white wine.
