A Long Winter’s Nap

Single serve or scaled to make a punch

Ingredients (single serving)

  • 2-oz Spirit of St. Supéry Brandy
  • 1-oz persimmon puree
  • ½-oz tangerine/mandarin juice
  • ½-oz ginger syrup
  • ~ 1-oz hard cider (float)
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • 1 star anise

Ingredients (Scaled to make a punch)

  • 2-parts Spirit of St. Supéry Brandy
  • 1-part persimmon puree
  • ½-part tangerine/mandarin juice
  • ½-part ginger syrup
  • 1-part hard cider
  • Thyme to taste
  • star anise to garnish

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients except the hard cider and the star anise in a shaker.
  • Add ice and shake well
  • Double-strain into cocktail glass OR tall glass filled with ice OR in old fashioned glass with large cube (can be served either up or OTR).
  • Top with cider. Garnish with/float star anise.

Ingredients (Scaled to make a punch)

  • Well chill all of your ingredients in advance.
  • Combine all ingredients except the hard cider and the star anise in a punch bowl.
  • Stir well
  • Add cider just before guest arrival.
  • Garnish with/float star anise
